Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. seeks a Charge Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric for a part-time role at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA.

The RN directs patient care during shifts, coordinates psychiatric care for adults and geriatrics, and mentors team members under the Nurse Manager/Program Director of Behavioral Health Services. Active California RN license and BLS are required, with two years of psychiatry/geriatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years psychiatry/mental health experience required.
• One year working with geriatric population required.
• Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate patient care activities during the assigned shift.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate and document patient treatment plans.
• Provide counseling and education to patients' families.
• Supervise nursing personnel (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.) to ensure safe, quality care.
• Follow nursing standards of care, policies and procedures to achieve optimal outcomes.
