Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a per-diem Psychiatric Technician at Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna. You will lead daily patient activities, support hygiene, social skills and recreation, and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include modeling healthy behavior, documenting patient changes, and facilitating group therapy and psychoeducation sessions. Background check and security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences preferred.
• Experience in correctional mental health settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities with patients including hygiene, social skills and recreational activities.
• Monitor, model and teach effective behaviors to improve patients' lives.
• Document significant changes in patient functioning and inform staff.
• Facilitate group therapeutic sessions and psychoeducational groups.

Our dedication to making a difference and our passionate team of the best and the brightest healthcare employees has made us one of the leaders of the correctional health industry.We are currently seeking a per-diem Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Idaho Maximum Security Institution located in Kuna, Idaho.The Psychiatric Technician, as part of the mental health team, will lead daily activities with patients including and not limited to proper hygiene, social skills, and recreational activities within the Acute Mental Health Unit. They will have the opportunity monitor, model, and teach effective behaviors to improve the lives of patients as well as work within a multidisciplinary team. The Psychiatric Technician will document and inform appropriate staff of significant changes in patient’s functioning. They will have the opportunity to assist facilitating group therapeutic sessions as well as the opportunity to facilitate psychoeducational groups.High school diploma or equivalency.
