Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Technician at Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna, Idaho. The role supports the mental health team by guiding daily activities, hygiene, social skills, and recreational programs within the Acute Mental Health Unit.

You will document patient changes, assist with group therapies and psychoeducational sessions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associates or bachelor's in social sciences preferred.
• Experience in a correctional mental health setting preferred.
• Must pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities with patients, including hygiene, social skills, and recreational activities within the Acute Mental Health Unit.
• Monitor, model, and teach effective behaviors to improve patients' lives.
• Document significant changes in patients' functioning and support group sessions.
