Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Svc is seeking a Psychiatric Technician Level 1 for onsite work during the third shift in Michigan. The role focuses on delivering compassionate physical and emotional care to clients with mental illness or developmental delays, under supervision, and within individualized plans of care.

Responsibilities include safety and milieu management, crisis intervention, and collaboration with the team to implement programs.

Qualifications

• Completion of a minimum of six months post high school education in behavioral sciences or equivalent preferred.
• CNA certification or one to two years of college education preferred.
• Onsite work schedule may include weekend and holiday hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical and emotional care to persons served in both individual and group settings.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients and staff.
• Assist with personal care tasks as needed (bathing, grooming, etc.).
• Document progress notes, medication administration and relevant information per policy.
• Participate in safety management, crisis intervention and de-escalation as required.
