Job summary

Pine Rest in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Psychiatric Technician Level 1 for a 24-hour weekly third‑shift role. You will support clients with mental illness and developmental delays under supervision, ensuring a safe milieu and assisting with daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• Six months post high school education in behavioral sciences or equivalent preferred.
• CNA certification or 1–2 years of college education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for clients and staff in individual and group settings.
• Collaborate in planning and implementing client programs and activities.
• Assist clients with personal care tasks as needed.
• Monitor safety, participate in crisis intervention, and apply de‑escalation techniques.
• Document progress notes, medications, and any safety concerns per policies.
