Job summary

Jobtome in Rio Rancho, NM, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in a mental health/psychiatric unit. Provide professional nursing care, design care plans, and coordinate overall patient care to support recovery. Role includes pediatric to geriatric patients and collaboration with the care team.

The position requires NM RN licensure, with experience in psychiatric settings preferred. Relocation and sign-on are discussed as part of the package.

Qualifications

• RN program graduate and licensed in NM or via reciprocal agreement
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate preferred

Responsibilities

• Interview, examine, and assess health status of psychiatric patients
• Write treatment plans and coordinate patient care activities
• Administer medications and provide nursing care
• Educate patients and families on treatment regimens
• Coordinate communication between physicians, staff, patients and families
• Follow departmental policies and safety standards
• Participate in orientation and preceptor duties
• Assist with tests and emergency measures as needed
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients
