Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric nursing care for children, adolescents and adults, using the nursing process to assess needs, diagnose outcomes and plan treatment. The role includes monitoring medication effects, ensuring patient safety, milieu management and crisis intervention.

The R.N. will participate in department policy development, produce nursing assessments and tailored care plans, and collaborate with the treatment team to set measurable goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Michigan RN license required.
• One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred; Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in developing, interpreting and implementing department philosophy, objectives, standards, policies and procedures.
• Uses the nursing process to plan, provide and evaluate each patient’s care and writes a nursing assessment and care plan.
• Develops measurable goals on the Individualized Treatment Plan with the treatment team and patient.
• Updates the Master Treatment Plan as patient needs change and reviews the plan with patients.
