Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital, a Havenwyck Hospital (a UHS facility) in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric patient care using the nursing process and to monitor medications and safety within milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.

The RN will develop individualized treatment plans, participate in team decisions, and ensure high-quality care for child, adolescent and adult patients. This role supports UHS’s mission and values in behavioral health services.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current status as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan required.
• One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Current certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
• Current certification in BLS/CPR preferred.
• Employees must be in good standing to be considered for internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care for psychiatric patients using the nursing process.
• Assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, and plan/evaluate care.
• Monitor effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician.
• Ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
• Participate in development and interpretation of department philosophy, policies and procedures.
• Develop measurable goals on the Individualized Treatment Plan with the team and patient.
