Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital in Auburn Hills, Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric nursing care for children, adolescents and adults. You will assess mental health needs, plan outcomes, and monitor medications while ensuring patient safety and milieu management.

The role emphasizes using the nursing process to create up-to-date care plans, develop goals with the treatment team, and adjust plans as patient needs change.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current status as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan required.
• One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Current certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
• Current certification in BLS/CPR preferred.
• Employees must be in good standing to be considered for internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development, interpretation and implementation of department policies and procedures.
• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, provide and evaluate each patient’s care and updates individualized care plans.
• Develops measurable goals on the Individualized Treatment Plan with the treatment team and patient.
• Modifies the Master Treatment Plan as patient needs change and reviews the plan with patients.
