Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital, a UHS facility in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care for psychiatric patients across children, adolescents and adults. The role involves assessing needs, planning and evaluating care, and monitoring medication effects while ensuring safety and crisis intervention.

The incumbent will participate in developing treatment plans, documenting assessments, and supporting the care team in a dynamic behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Graduates must be licensed Registered Nurses (RN) in Michigan.
• One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care for psychiatric patients using the nursing process.
• Assesses mental health needs, develops nursing diagnoses, and plans and evaluates care.
• Monitors effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician.
• Ensures patient safety and provides milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
• Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing department policies.
