Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute in Texas seeks a Psychiatric Intake RN to deliver professional nursing care, assess patient needs, plan and implement care plans, and evaluate progress. You will educate patients and families, and supervise nursing staff with delegation and supervision skills.

The role requires ADN/BSN, Texas RN license, and 2+ years in behavior health; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited college; Texas RN license in good standing.
• BLS, ACLS, CPI certifications a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in behavioral health settings preferred.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients, including facilitating social and emotional needs, supervising medication schedules and evaluating patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to determine and provide the best possible care for patients.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff and patients.
• Provide social support by encouraging participation in support groups and activities.
• Document patient information and progress on medical charts; comply with laws and protocols.
