Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute is seeking a Psychiatric Intake RN to provide professional nursing care under hospital policy, assess patient care needs, and develop and modify care plans as necessary.

The role includes teaching patients and families, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with psychiatrists and other professionals to design effective treatment plans. A valid Texas RN license and BLS/ACLS/CPI are preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• CPR, Behavior Managing Program to be obtained within 30 days upon hire.
• Valid Texas RN license in good standing; BLS, ACLS, CPI certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including supervising medication schedules and evaluating progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to determine best care.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and progress notes and ensure confidentiality.
• Test vitals for pain and manage pain treatment.
• Document all patient information and follow physician orders.
