Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute seeks a Psychiatric Intake RN to provide professional nursing care according to policy and procedures. The role includes patient assessment, care planning, teaching patients and families, and supervising nursing staff as needed.

Must hold a Texas RN license (active) with CPR and CPI or equivalent certifications. Minimum 2 years in behavioral health settings; bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Full-time with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• CPR, Behavior Managing Program (obtained within 30 days upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients, including supervising medication schedules and evaluating patient progress.
• Collaborate with a variety of interdisciplinary professionals to determine and provide the best possible care.
• Maintain a safe environment.
• Provide social support and encourage participation in groups and therapies.
• Conduct intake assessments and plan nursing care for patients.
• Administer and monitor psychotropic medications and other treatments.
• Document patient information and maintain confidential records.
