Job summary

Sharon Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a supportive, collaborative environment. The RN will assess patient needs, develop care plans, document outcomes, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires CT RN licensure, BLS, ACLS by probation end, and ideally 1+ year of RN experience. A commitment to learning and patient-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

• State of CT RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required by the end of probationary period.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience preferred.
• American Nurses Association endorsed Certifications or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessment and reassessment as clinically indicated.
• Ensures appropriate documentation based on level of care.
• Verbalize to patients/family/significant other the medication they are receiving.
• Assesses and documents patient response to medications.
• Coordinates and supervises the delivery of nursing care.
• Promotes a culture of safety and hand-off as appropriate.
• Assesses learning needs and provides instruction.
• Cares for specific patient populations as necessary.
• Delivers patient-centered care with cultural sensitivity.
• Meets accreditation, regulatory, and compliance responsibilities.
• Promotes learning and growth through mentorship.
