Job summary

Sharon Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a 78-bed general hospital within the Northwell Health system. The role involves assessing needs, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions with a focus on safety and quality.

Shifts are 6:45pm-7:15am, including every other weekend and some holidays. Requires CT RN license, BLS, ACLS by probation end, and typically 1+ year RN experience.

Qualifications

• CT RN license and board-eligible status required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS by end of probation.
• At least 1 year RN experience preferred.
• Proficient in patient-centered care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessment and reassessment as clinically indicated.
• Follows the five Rights of Medication Administration and documents care.
• Coordinates and supervises delivery of nursing care and delegations.
• Promotes a culture of safety and conducts bedside rounds and hand-offs.
• Assesses learning needs and provides patient/family teaching.
• Delivers patient-centered care while respecting diversity.
