Job summary

ERC Pathlight is seeking a Psychiatric Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality psychiatric care under physician supervision. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team across inpatient and outpatient settings, applying evidence-based practices to support patients with mood, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions.

Candidates must hold a state PA license with NCCPA certification; a Master’s degree and psychiatric clinical experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree with advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Current State Certified Physician’s Assistant and NCCPA certification.
• Psychiatric experience working with psychiatric populations preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources for appropriate procedures.
• Skill in applying clinical psychiatric service practices.
• Ability to exercise initiative and judgment in selecting proper treatment.
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and monitors patients in collaboration with physicians and care providers; makes treatment decisions.
• Reviews records and histories to assess health status and plan care.
• Develops and documents patient care plans and treatment.
• Orders appropriate medications within statutory limits.
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams and supports program improvements.
• Maintains accurate charts, case files, and documentation.
