Job summary

Tal Healthcare seeks a Physician Assistant for the CPEP Night Shift in a high-volume emergency psychiatric setting. You will support overnight evaluations and patient management, collaborating with the on-call psychiatrist to ensure safe, effective care.

The role offers flexible scheduling (3–4 overnights per week) coordinated with the CPEP Director, opportunities for professional development, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
• NCCPA certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of PA experience, preferably with psychiatric or emergency care.
• Strong psychiatric evaluation and risk assessment skills preferred.
• Experience with night shifts is advantageous; weekend/holiday availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist overnight psychiatrists with psychiatric evaluations in emergency setting.
• Conduct initial assessments, including mental status examinations and risk assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for psychiatric patients.
• Monitor patient progress during their stay in the emergency room.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and psychiatric staff.
• Provide quality patient care adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.
