Job summary

Family Care Center in Cedar Park, TX seeks a Physician Assistant to join our outpatient behavioral health team. The PA provides psychiatric evaluation, prescribing and care coordination under supervision, improving patient outcomes in a multidisciplinary setting.

Applicants should have NCCPA-certified PA training, TX licensure, and DEA registration. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; no on-call required, competitive compensation in a fast-growing clinic network.

Qualifications

• 1-year clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health setting preferred.
• Current PA licensure and active DEA license required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and determine diagnoses and care needs.
• Provide psychiatric and medical services within licensed standards and timelines.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for patients.
• Order and assess laboratory tests and diagnostic results for treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate mental health care.
• Ensure timely access to care and maintain productivity standards.
• Under physician supervision, perform evaluations and prescribe or administer treatments.
• Provide health education, informed consent, and discuss risks and alternatives of medications.
• Coordinate care with families, PCPs, and other providers to monitor progress.
• Contribute to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation mappings/remapping when trained.
