Job summary

ERC Pathlight seeks a Psychiatric Physician Assistant to deliver psychiatric care under physician supervision. You will evaluate patients, coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team, and manage medications within regulatory limits at our Colorado locations.

On-call expectations are part of the role, with additional compensation for weekend coverage. The position offers competitive compensation in Colorado, plus comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, earned PTO, parental leave,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of community resources for appropriate procedures.
• Skill in applying clinical psychiatric service practices.
• Ability to exercise initiative and judgment in selecting proper treatment.
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
• Ability to prepare accurate reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and monitors the psychiatric condition of patients in collaboration with physicians and other care providers.
• Determines and assesses the health status of new or existing patients by reviewing records and histories and performing exams.
• Orders appropriate medications within the limits of statutory regulations.
• Collaborates with staff, physicians and management to improve service delivery and uphold ethical standards.
• Participates in insurance peer reviews to optimize length of stay and level of care.
