Job summary

Senior PsychCare (SPC) invites a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative, mission-driven mental health team in Monroe, LA. Full-time or part-time roles offer flexibility, supportive psychiatrists, and a focus on long-term care residents.

You will conduct cognitive and emotional assessments, manage psychotropic medications, and collaborate with nursing home staff within a team-based setting, with both in-person and telehealth options.

Qualifications

Licensed PMHNP or PA in Louisiana.
Psychiatric/mental health experience required.
Experience with geriatric populations strongly preferred.
Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct cognitive and emotional assessments to set/manage treatment plans.
Manage psychotropic medication and dose adjustments.
Collaborate with nursing home staff and SPC’s behavioral health team.
Deliver care in-person and via telehealth when appropriate.

What You’ll Do

Conduct cognitive and emotional assessments to set/manage treatment plans
Manage psychotropic medication and gradual dose reductions
Collaborate with nursing home staff and SPC’s behavioral health team
Participate in treatment team meetings (in-person and virtual)
Deliver care both in-person and via telehealth when appropriate
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in our EHR system
