Job summary

Senior PsychCare seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas to join a collaborative behavioral health team serving long-term care residents. You will assess cognitive and emotional health, manage psychotropic meds, and work with nursing home staff in a flexible, team-based environment.

Offers signing bonus, full or part-time options, telehealth when appropriate, and strong clinical support. Valid TX license and ability to travel locally are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed PMHNP, FNP or PA in Texas.
• Psychiatric/mental health experience required.
• Experience with geriatric populations strongly preferred.
• Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable traveling locally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cognitive and emotional assessments to set/manage treatment plans.
• Manage psychotropic medication and gradual dose reductions.
• Collaborate with nursing home staff and SPC’s behavioral health team.
• Participate in treatment team meetings (in-person and virtual).
• Deliver care both in-person and via telehealth when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in our EHR system.
