Qualifications

• MSN is required.
• Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License is required.
• ANNC Board Certification is required.
• Ability to travel in Maine is required.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities are required.
• Strong patient assessment skills are required.
• Prolonged sitting, computer work, and lifting/moving patients may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with nursing home staff, residents, and families.
• Proactively follow up with patients and assess efficacy of interventions.
• Provide education on best practices.
• Round at assigned nursing homes and make treatment recommendations.
• Integrate pharmacological and behavioral interventions, emphasizing non-pharmacological approaches.

As psychiatric nurse practitioners, you will be provided full administrative support and clinical mentorship. Responsibilities

• Work closely and collaboratively with nursing home staff, residents, and families.
• Proactively follow up with patients and assess the efficacy of recommended interventions.
• Provide education on best practices.
• Round at assigned nursing homes and recommend psychiatric medication and treatment recommendations.
• Integrate pharmacological and behavioral interventions, emphasizing non-pharmacological treatments whenever possible.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
• ANNC Board Certification
• Ability to travel in Maine
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Strong patient assessment skills
• Strong, ambitious, patient-centric work ethic
• Prolonged sitting. Computer work including keyboard and mouse use for extended periods. Lifting/moving patients.
