You will have full administrative support and clinical mentorship, with the flexibility and autonomy of private practice. Qualifications

• MSN required and current licensure as a psychiatric NP.
• Active NP license in Massachusetts or ability to travel.
• ANCC Board Certification preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within Massachusetts; private practice mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nursing home staff, residents, and families.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Educate on best practices for patient care.
• Make psychiatric medication and treatment recommendations during rounds.
• Integrate pharmacological and behavioral strategies; emphasize non-pharmacological options.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Work closely and collaboratively with nursing home staff, residents, and families.


• Proactively follow up with patients and assess the efficacy of recommended interventions.


• Provide education on best practices.


• Round at assigned nursing homes and recommend psychiatric medication and treatment recommendations.


• Integrate pharmacological and behavioral interventions, emphasizing non-pharmacological treatments whenever possible.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)


• Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License


• ANNC Board Certification


• Ability to travel in Massachusetts


• Excellent communication and documentation abilities


• Strong patient assessment skills


• Strong, ambitious, patient-centric work ethic


• Prolonged sitting. Computer work including keyboard and mouse use for extended periods. Lifting/moving patients.
