Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking a clinician-led PMHNP or Psych PA-C to provide comprehensive psychiatric care for older adults in post-acute and long-term care settings in North Carolina. The role offers clinical autonomy, strong organizational support, and a stable Monday–Friday schedule with both onsite patient care and remote documentation, and no night or weekend shifts.

• Active DEA or willingness to obtain.

• Perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments and mental status exams.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral and neurocognitive disorders in older adults.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.

Role Overview

• Full-time Monday - Friday schedule
• Enjoy stability, support, and flexibility with onsite patient care and remote documentation
• No nights or weekends
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings
• Coverage area includes South Raleigh and Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina
