Job summary

TeamHealth, a clinician-founded organization, seeks a PMHNP or Psychiatric PA-C to provide psychiatric care for older adults in post-acute and long-term care settings in North Carolina. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, with no nights or weekends and onsite work with remote documentation.

You will conduct evaluations, diagnose and treat neurocognitive and behavioral disorders, prescribe psychotropic meds, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina medical license for PMHNP or Psychiatric PA-C.
• Eligible to prescribe psychotropic medications in North Carolina.
• Experience with older adults in post-acute or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders in older adults.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings.
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management as needed.

This role offers clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and strong organizational support in post-acute and long-term care settings (SNF/LTC/ALF/IRF).

Role Overview

• Full-time within Monday - Friday
• No nights or weekends
• Flexible, onsite, round-and-go model with remote documentation
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated compensation range of $120,000 - $160,000 annually with no cap on productivity income
• Base salary plus productivity, W2 position with full benefits (medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k)
• Back-end infrastructure and clinical support provided

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted North Carolina license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C
• Active DEA or willingness to obtain
• All experience levels as a PMHNP or Psych PA welcome to apply
