Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C to join our Virginia-based post-acute care team, covering Bonsack, Vinton, and Salem. The role offers full-time hours, a Monday–Friday schedule, no night shifts, and the flexibility of remote documentation alongside on-site patient care.

You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat mental health conditions in older adults, prescribe psychotropic medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across SNF/LTC/ALF/IRF settings.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Virginia license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C.
• Active DEA license or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred.
• New grads welcome to apply.

Role Overview

• Full-time Monday - Friday schedule
• No nights or weekends
• Enjoy stability, support, and flexibility with onsite patient care and remote documentation
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings

Coverage area includes Bonsack, Vinton, and Salem, Virginia

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated compensation range of $120,000 - $160,000 annually with no cap on productivity income
• Base salary plus productivity, W2 position with full benefits (medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k)
