Job summary

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Psychiatric Float Pool RN for the PSRU on the College Hill Campus. The role offers full-time and part-time shifts, including weekends and holidays, with eligibility for comprehensive benefits.

You will provide nursing care across multiple behavioral health settings, using trauma-informed approaches and therapeutic communication to support youth and families.

Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma RN; Ohio license required.
• External candidates without BSN/MSN must enroll within 1 year and complete in 5 years.
• Active Ohio RN license; other state licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and coordinate nursing care across physical and mental health.
• Administer medications; monitor effectiveness and safety.
• Provide developmentally appropriate care and support activities of daily living.
• Maintain designated observation levels with safety in mind.
• Float across College Hill psychiatry units based on staffing needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and families; participate in care planning.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately.
