Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the SRU Nursing team. The role involves patient care across 32 hours per week with 0.8 FTE in a 2-3 shift pattern on the Burnet Campus.

You will support specialty inpatient units, uphold safety standards, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality pediatric care. Ideal candidates hold an Associate/Diploma RN with an active Ohio license; BSN/MSN are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with 2+ years of experience or enrolled in BSN/MSN program
• Active Ohio RN license required; may require other state licensure
• BSN or MSN preferred for advancement
• Foreign graduates must have license validated per Ohio Board of Nursing rules

Responsibilities

• Maintain regulatory compliance and safety standards in the department and hospital.
• Support leadership in safety and CMS compliance; communicate concerns to leadership.
• Collect and document patient data; follow care plans and protocols; adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; participate in shared governance at the unit level.
• Provide age-appropriate, culturally inclusive patient care and family education.
• Engage in ongoing learning and safety best practices through coaching and mentoring.
