Job summary

Nulton Diagnostic & Treatment Center is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to join our collaborative behavioral health team. The role will involve providing high-quality care for children, adolescents and adults, with time split between our Somerset and Bedford offices.

Qualified candidates will hold PA license in PA or PMHNP-BC (or NCCPA for PA-C), have an active DEA, and at least 1 year of outpatient psychiatric experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold PA-C NCCPA or PMHNP-BC certification and PA license in PA.
• Active DEA number and ability to obtain required clearances (Act 33/34/114).
• Minimum 1 year outpatient psychiatric experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; team-oriented.
• Not on Medicare/Medicaid exclusion list.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, evaluate and record mental health histories.
• Perform mental health assessments.
• Order necessary testing (labs, EKG) for routine and acute mental health care.
• Analyze and interpret data to establish appropriate treatment planning.
• Initiate necessary referrals/consults to specialists and other health professionals/services.
• Educate individuals regarding mental health related matters including treatments, medications, diet and other issues as required.
• Provide management for acute and chronic mental illness in coordination with the supervising/collaborating physician.
• Prescribe necessary medications, as authorized by law and within the limits of the written collaborative agreement (CRNP) or written supervision agreement (PA-C).
• Provide services to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Adhere to all requirements of the applicable written collaborative agreement (CRNP) or supervision agreement (PA-C).
