Job summary

Nulton Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Pennsylvania is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to join our behavioral health team. The role splits between Somerset and Bedford offices, providing psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults within a collaborative model.

Candidates must hold PA-C NCCPA certification or CRNP PMHNP-BC, possess an active license, a DEA number, and at least 1 year of outpatient psychiatric

Qualifications

• Possess a valid CRNP or Physician Assistant license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and maintain all requirements for licensure.
• CRNP applicants must hold Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certification (PMHNP-BC); PA applicants must hold current NCCPA certification (PA-C).
• Active DEA number is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in outpatient psychiatric services.
• Must pass all required background checks and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, evaluate and record mental health histories.
• Perform mental health assessments.
• Order necessary testing (labs, EKG) for routine and acute care.
• Analyze data to establish treatment plans.
• Initiate referrals and consults to specialists.
• Educate patients on mental health treatments and medications.
• Provide management for acute and chronic mental illness with supervising physician.
• Prescribe medications within the written collaboration or supervision agreements.
• Serve pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Comply with the written collaborative/supervision agreement.
