Job summary

Since 1995, the mental health specialists at Nulton Diagnostic and Treatment Center have provided effective, compassionate behavioral health care to children, adolescents and adults. Our experienced team includes board-certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists and other professionals specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage behavioral health conditions.

Position Description:

We are looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Team!

Nulton Diagnostic & Treatment Center is accepting applications for a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to work within our collaborative model to provide quality care for our clients. This role would involve splitting time between our Somerset and Bedford office locations.

Principal Responsibilities of the CRNP/PA-C will include:

1. 1. Obtain, evaluate and record mental health histories
2. 2. Perform mental health assessments
3. 3. Order necessary testing (labs, EKG) for routine and acute mental health care
4. 4. Analyze and interpret data to establish appropriate treatment planning
5. 5. Initiate necessary referrals/consults to specialists and other health professionals/services
6. 6. Educate individuals regarding mental health related matters including treatments, medications, diet and other issues as required
7. 7. Provide management for acute and chronic mental illness in coordination with the supervising/collaborating physician
8. 8. Prescribe necessary medications, as authorized by law and within the limits of the written collaborative agreement (CRNP) or written supervision agreement (PA-C), to remit/resolve patient mental health problems/symptoms
9. 9. Provide services to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients
10. 10. Adhere to all requirements of the applicable written collaborative agreement (CRNP) or supervision agreement (PA-C)

Education, Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Training:

1. (a) Possess a valid CRNP or Physician Assistant license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and maintain all requirements for licensure
2. (b) CRNP applicants must hold Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certification (PMHNP-BC); PA applicants must hold current NCCPA certification (PA-C)
3. (c) Not be on the Medicare/Medicaid exclusionary list
4. (d) Must possess an active DEA number
5. (e) Minimum of 1 year experience in outpatient psychiatric services
6. (f) Pass all required background checks
7. (g) Must have the ability to work in a team environment
8. (h) Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Candidate must be able to obtain Act 33, Act 34, Act 114 clearances.
