Job summary

Del Amo Behavioral Health System, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Lead Charge Nurse with psychiatric experience to join our inpatient team. The role focuses on safe, effective nursing care, leadership, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

You will organize care, supervise staff, and provide orientation while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality of care in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing school required.
• Licensure by the California Board of Registered Nursing required.
• Clinical experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• 1-3 years' experience with military and behavioral health population preferably in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct patient care, setting priorities and assignments.
• Ensure staff complete assigned duties and patient care responsibilities.
• Provide unit orientation to new staff.
• Staff Nurse functions as Charge Nurse when assigned.
• Document patient care and progress notes each shift.
• Provide shift reports with key patient information.
• Follow safety procedures and monitor patients per required levels.
• Provide nursing care within scope of practice to meet patient needs.
