Zusammenfassung

AltaPointe Health Systems seeks a registered nurse for BayPointe Hospital in Mobile, AL to deliver comprehensive nursing care in a psychiatric acute setting. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered; terms will be discussed in interview.

The RN will complete admissions, administer medications, monitor patients, participate in treatment planning, and provide education to patients and families while ensuring safety and quality care on every shift.

Qualifikationen

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse License.

Aufgaben

• Complete admission process including Nursing Assessments, Medical Checklist/Physical Health/Nutritional screening, Medication List, MAR, vital signs, height/weight, transcription of physician orders, AIMS, and admission notes.
• Observes consumer behavior in groups and activities, documents observations in consumer records, reports needs across shifts to the Treatment Team.
• Supervises nursing care overseeing routine task assignments of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and Behavioral Aides/Specialists.
• Administers medications, observing the Six Rights of medication administration.
• Provides medication education for the consumer and family, including uses and potential side effects; reports findings to physician.
• Communicates effectively with the physician regarding the consumer’s physical and mental condition.
• Interfaces with the multi-disciplinary team and participates in development of the interdisciplinary treatment plan.
• Performs venipuncture for lab requests and reports abnormal results to physician.
• Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, MindSet, PRN medications) per AltaPointe policy.
• Assists consumers with personal care issues (bathing, toileting, hygiene).
• Maintains professional ethics and seeks supervision as needed.
