Job summary

BayPointe Hospital, part of AltaPointe Health Systems, is seeking a registered nurse to join its psychiatric acute care team in Mobile, AL. The RN will participate in admission processes, monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary Treatment Team to stabilize patients and plan care.

The role requires current Alabama RN licensure; psychiatric care experience is preferred. A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is available, with terms discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse License is required.
• Psychiatric/acute inpatient care experience preferred.
• Ability to monitor patients, administer medications and respond to crises.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission processes and nursing assessments.
• Administer medications following Six Rights of medication administration.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate with Treatment Team during shifts.
• Provide patient education and monitor for medication side effects.
• Perform venipuncture and respond to emergencies per policy.
• Document clearly and timely in consumer records and notes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
