Job summary

AltaPointe Health is seeking an RN for BayPointe Hospital in Mobile, AL, a psychiatric acute care facility serving children, adolescents and adults. The RN will handle admissions, supervise unit staff, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians while participating in crisis de-escalation and emergency care.

The role requires a current Alabama RN license; a $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Strong documentation and teamwork are essential to support patient safety and care quality.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama RN license required.
• Experience in psychiatric inpatient settings preferred.
• Ability to deescalate crises and provide emergency care.
• Strong documentation and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission process including nursing assessments, health screening, medication administration, vital signs.
• Observe and document consumer behavior, report needs to Treatment Team.
• Supervise nursing care and delegate tasks to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and aides.
• Administer medications following Six Rights of medication administration.
• Communicate with physician regarding patient condition and treatment plan.
• Provide emergency care (CPR) and deescalation as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and professional conduct.
