Job summary

Bay Area Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Psychiatric Unit on the night shift. You will provide nursing care within the RN scope, teach patients and families, document care in the medical record and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires Oregon RN licensure, BLS, and preferred behavioral health certification and a bachelor’s degree. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered along with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Oregon.
• BLS certification required.
• SAFE class or equivalent workplace violence training within 6 months.
• National certification in behavioral health nursing preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Within the RN scope, applies the nursing process to care for patients.
• Teaches patients and significant others.
• Documents patient care in the medical record.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Performs duties of Qualified Mental Health Professional if credentialed.
