Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions in Ohio seeks a dedicated RN or LPN for a long-term care setting focused on mental health services. You will perform weekly to monthly nursing assessments, review medications, educate clients and caregivers, and coordinate care with the treatment team.

Travel across the assigned service area is required; LTC and Behavioral Health experience preferred. CPR certification or training can be provided during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• LPN or RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably experience in LTC facilities and Behavioral Health.
• CPR training or certificate can be provided during training.

Responsibilities

• Address the mental, behavioral and physical health needs of clients on a weekly/biweekly and/or monthly basis.
• Complete in person nursing assessments and medication/chart review in LTC facilities.
• Educate caregivers and clients on prescribed psychiatric and physical health medications and monitor side effects.
• Care management duties including coordination of community services and communication with treatment team members.
• Assist clients in building coping skills to address mood, stressors and improve communication and in creating annual goals related to their psychiatric diagnosis.
• Possibly assist clinic and residential needs for assigned locations.
• Mentor peers and provide training as needed.
• May cover more than one facility depending on company needs.

Our clients are supported by a team of Registered Nurses (RNs),Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), certified nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, mental health counselors, social workers, and case managers to ensure the best outcomes for those we serve.

This position is based in a long-term care facility focused on providing mental health services to residents. The role requires flexibility, empathy, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals with psychiatric needs.

Responsibilities may include:

• Address the mental, behavioral and physical health needs of clients on a weekly/biweekly and/or monthly basis.

Requirements for this position include:
