Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital in Oklahoma City seeks a Nurse Educator to lead development and delivery of orientation and ongoing education for patient-care staff. You will assess training needs, coordinate programs, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards across the facility.

Collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer and leadership team is essential to drive education initiatives that improve patient care and staff competencies within a 206-bed behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Oklahoma RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred; MSN preferred for advancement.
• Minimum of two years psychiatric nursing education experience in an in-patient setting.
• Must be at least 21 years old; drug test and background check required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and physical agility for patient care.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with EHRs.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with psychiatric patient exposure and safety considerations.
• Commitment to regulatory education standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, coordinate, and present new hire orientation and ongoing educational programs.
• Assess staff training needs and ensure programs meet regulatory standards.
• Monitor employee compliance with education requirements and provide leadership.
