Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a Process Safety Management (PSM) Site Coordinator to lead the PSM program at a Regulated and Renewable Energy facility. You will develop plans, train staff, maintain documentation, and report site metrics to leadership.

The role requires strong knowledge of 29 CFR 1910.119, 40 CFR 68, and experience in industrial safety. Travel is limited, and collaboration with site PSM Engineers and regional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology with 6+ years related experience.
• In lieu of degree, Highschool/GED with 8+ years related experience.
• Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years related experience.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management (29 CFR 1910.119) and Chemical Accident Prevention Plan (40 CFR 68).

Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and manage the PSM site program and related documentation.
• Coordinate with site PSM Engineers to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide site-level reporting and governance updates to leadership.
• Support fleet-level PSM policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead site training for all PSM roles and track competency.
