Job summary

PPG's Oak Creek Industrial Coatings plant seeks a PSM Engineer to drive the site’s process safety program, ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance. You will report to the site Project Manager and help implement and execute safety documentation and risk mitigation initiatives.

You will lead the PSM Leadership Team, track leading indicators, and develop action plans to reduce risk while collaborating across the organization to foster best practices and effective change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Process Safety Management in manufacturing or chemical plant.
• Understanding of OSHA PSM regulations.
• Knowledge of process hazard analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Continually improves site process safety management systems.
• Leads monthly PSM Leadership Team meetings.
• Tracks leading indicators and develops action plans to reduce risk.
• Communicates management of changes, PHA, safe operating limits, and other PSM elements.
• Develops employee training to improve process safety capabilities.
