Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This is a primarily in-office position at Primary Children’s Hospital.
Opportunities for a hybrid telework schedule may be available after completing the initial training period if supported by operational needs. Clinical duties may impact opportunities to telework. Employees with an approved hybrid telework schedule are expected to provide their own home office space, internet connection, telephone, and have the ability to work independently.

The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Study Coordinator. The Study Coordinator will support multiple investigators and assist with a pediatric cancer biorepository study. Working under the supervision of a senior research coordinator or manager, they will support administrative operations and coordinate human subjects’ research studies.
The role involves performing duties according to specific instructions and established procedures, often under close supervision. The coordinator will follow written and verbal instructions, work collaboratively with research and clinical teams at Huntsman Cancer Institute and Primary Children’s Hospital, and coordinate technical and administrative aspects of research studies. They will work with senior staff and faculty to ensure study integrity and objectives. Training in study-specific areas will be provided.
Qualified applicants should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple research activities and work cooperatively within a team. Responsibilities include coordinating technical and administrative details, assisting in protocol implementation, and supporting study objectives.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, completion of IRB CITI Human Subjects training within six months, and effective communication skills. It is patient-sensitive, requiring compliance with immunization policies per CDC standards. Some departments may require IATA DGR training within six months.
