Job Summary
The Department of Neurology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Headache Division. This outpatient position involves comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with headache and facial pain syndromes.

Responsibilities

1. Take complex medical histories for referred patients.
2. Perform neurologic examinations.
3. Formulate diagnosis and treatment plans.
4. Consult with physicians regarding patient care.
5. Diagnose and develop treatment plans for headache conditions in collaboration with the division chief.
6. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
7. Perform procedures such as Botox for migraines, Trigger Point injections, and Occipital Nerve blocks (credentialing required).
8. Recommend medication and therapeutic treatments.
9. Maintain accurate medical records and participate in quality improvement activities.
10. Counsel patients and families about health and illness.

Minimum Qualifications

• Utah licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS may be required.
• Utah prescriptive privileges.
• Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent, with national certification.

This position requires compliance with immunization policies and the demonstration of the ability to perform essential functions as outlined.
