Job Summary:

The Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner. This full-time nurse practitioner will join a growing clinical team of general pediatricians. Responsibilities include pediatric primary care ambulatory services mainly at our Sugar House Health Center and University Pediatric Clinic locations, with additional locations possible based on clinical need. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with the entire care team to deliver excellent primary care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pediatric primary care ambulatory services at Sugar House Health Center and University Pediatric Clinic, working with physicians, medical assistants, and care managers.
• Conduct patient evaluations, including histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and documentation.
• Participate in clinic and division quality improvement initiatives.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Office environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases, oils, hazards, and physical conditions requiring lifting and movement. Must be able to meet immunization requirements and perform essential functions with or without accommodations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Utah.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS (may be required).
• Utah prescriptive privileges.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent, with national certification.
• Application for credentialing and privileging upon hire.
• Immunization compliance per CDC standards.

Preferences:

• Experience in pediatrics.
• Ability to work collaboratively in healthcare teams.
• Fluency in Spanish (oral and written).
