Monzo is expanding its Prudential Risk team and seeking a Manager to join the 2nd Line Prudential Risk Oversight. You will work with 1st Line Financial Risk to provide expert oversight of ICAAP, Recovery Plan and related regulatory deliverables, interpreting changes and supporting capital planning and stress testing.

You will review models, challenge assumptions, and develop strong relationships across the three lines of defence, ensuring prudential compliance and safe growth.

Qualifications

• Relevant prudential experience gained within a bank, a consultancy, or a regulatory body.
• Genuine desire to learn and grow, excited about building enhanced 2LoD oversight within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge/experience of capital, recovery planning and resolution regulatory requirements.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience building/reviewing financial models for forecasting and capital planning.
• Ability to interpret regulatory rules and provide oversight and challenge across the three lines of defence.
• Strong relationship-building to collaborate with 1LoD stakeholders at all levels while providing robust challenge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Support oversight of key regulatory deliverables and enhancement plans in line with Monzo’s approach and regulatory expectations.
• Identify and interpret regulatory rules, providing oversight and challenge and ensuring correct application.
• Support production of reports and options on Monzo’s financial position and controls framework for key risk committees and the Board.
• Collaborate with Group Risk to ensure adherence to the Group Financial Risk Framework and Financial Projections Framework.
• Review financial models used for forecasting, capital planning and stress testing (ICAAP and Recovery Plan) within G‑Sheets and Anaplan; run sensitivity analyses and generate insights.
• Conduct discrete assurance activities to strengthen risk and controls within Monzo.
• Develop strong relationships with colleagues to embed prudential risk management across the organisation.
