Job description

  • Maintain a strong and stable provider network through recruitment activities and ongoing provider relationships
  • Focus on hospitals, hospital systems, and other facilities to cultivate new provider relationships and provide ongoing support
  • Manage assigned recruitment projects and resources
  • Collaborate with the Provider Relations team and create network-growth strategies
  • Recruit and retain qualified hospitals, ancillary groups, facilities, and physicians
  • Plan and execute daily recruitment call schedules and approaches
  • Use network adequacy and other reports to identify network gaps and recruit providers to maintain competitive, compliant networks
  • Track and report recruitment interactions and cycle stages using application-tracking mechanisms
  • Compile internal data to determine network needs and increase network capacity
  • Maintain professional relationships and act as point of contact for providers
  • Provide technical assistance and customer service to providers, internal departments, and external stakeholders
  • Research and troubleshoot issues and collaborate with other departments
  • Participate in or facilitate Joint Operating Committee meetings
  • Research, identify, and negotiate contracts within established timelines
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, senior, and executive leaders on contracts
  • Maintain knowledge of assigned provider contracts
  • Develop and manage scopes of work
  • Communicate with departments and providers to follow up on issues and provide outreach or education
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years progressive post‑degree experience in Mental Health, Substance Use, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or Physical Health; OR Master’s degree in Human Services from an accredited college or university with one (1) years post graduate experience in these fields
  • Knowledge of recruiting healthcare providers
  • Knowledge of negotiating and managing contracts with hospitals, hospital systems, ancillary groups, facilities, and/or physicians
  • Knowledge of establishing and maintaining relationships with large and/or complex systems
  • Knowledge of technical assistance related to contract terms, billing and reimbursement (claims), and managed care
  • Knowledge of Alliance’s goals, targets, and outcomes related to Provider Network Operations
  • Knowledge of disability areas including Mental Health, Substance Use and Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities
  • Knowledge of treatment, habilitation and support principles, concepts, and Best Practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of systems impacting providers
  • Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
  • Proficient with database maintenance
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Problem solving, organizing, conflict resolution, public speaking, training, and mediation skills
  • High level of diplomacy and discretion to negotiate and resolve issues independently
