Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Quality and Peer Review leader to drive physician performance improvements and organization-wide quality initiatives. You will lead peer review, analyze clinical data, and guide physician development while ensuring regulatory readiness across the system.

You will collaborate with medical staff and system leaders, mentor a team, manage reports, and participate in planning, budgeting, and committee work, all while maintaining Mercyhealth's culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or equivalent with 5 years in healthcare field and medical terminology course.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• CPHQ certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Manages peer review and data reporting functions across medical staff and system leaders.
• Educates and coaches physicians and leaders on peer review and quality measures.
• Ensures timely reviews and provides information to physicians and leaders as needed.
• Attends department meetings and provides reports and feedback.
• Oversees physician reporting activities and standardizes processes across the organization.
• Analyzes performance, identifies trends, and recommends new measures.
• Educates on new measures, requirements, and impact on the organization.
• Oversees reports used for physician performance improvement and accreditation readiness.
• Collaborates with risk management and administrative leaders for improvement.
