Job summary

Mending is seeking a Provider Operations Associate in the United States (New York area) to serve as the operational backbone of our DPC supply team. You will maintain URAC compliance, manage credentialing vendors, and resolve payment inquiries, while engaging with provider practices to solve complex operational challenges.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in operations, project management/coordination, analytics, or related role.
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Comfortable working with data and pulling reports to surface insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Comfort with ambiguity and initiative to build processes from scratch.
• Healthcare or startup experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Documentation and operational process ownership: URAC compliance, regulatory docs, credentialing vendor mgmt, audit readiness.
• High-touch provider support: onboarding, platform questions, and payment/contract inquiries.
• Provider onboarding and data hygiene: credentialing workflows, roster data, panel capacity tracking.
• Payments support: assist with payment processing, fee reconciliations, and inquiries.
• Efficiency & AI-tooling: identify repetitive tasks and apply AI tools to boost output.
