Job summary

Lakeland Care Inc. is seeking a Provider Specialist to build and maintain a diverse, culturally responsive provider network that meets member needs in Wisconsin.

You will recruit providers, support onboarding, and educate new and in-network partners on contracting requirements while ensuring accurate provider records and strong service delivery. Collaborate with IDT staff, community partners, and DHS audits to improve access, quality, and network capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service or business-related field required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Family Care program preferred.
• Knowledge of provider network operations, subcontracting, and licensing beneficial.
• Knowledge of provider contracting in managed care models.

Responsibilities

• Recruits and develops new providers to grow a high-quality, culturally responsive network.
• Supports provider onboarding and integration to strengthen capacity.
• Provides education to prospective and in-network providers on contracting requirements.
• Ensures provider contracts reflect information in the Electronic Provider Record.
• Monitors network adequacy and addresses service gaps for member access.
• Engages underutilized providers to maximize participation and network effectiveness.
• Manages priorities, deadlines, and delivers results aligned with goals.
• Follows through on commitments with providers and stakeholders.
• Analyzes information to identify issues, risks, and opportunities.
• Negotiates rates to maintain cost-effective provider networks.
• Leads provider meetings with clear agendas and timely follow-up.
• Represents Lakeland Care to educate and onboard providers effectively.
• Demonstrates empathy, collaboration, and problem-solving in interactions.
