Job summary

The Wright Center in Scranton, PA is looking for a Credentialing Specialist to manage initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other providers.

You will maintain CAQH and NPI records, enroll with Medicaid/other payors, coordinate new office openings, and support audits and training. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are encouraged to apply; hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in medical credentialing, payor enrollment, or related healthcare setting (Required)
Working knowledge of medical terminology, insurances and billing
Experience with electronic medical records
Strong computer skills in Excel and database management
Excellent communication skills in in-person and phone interactions
Ability to perform in a high-intensity environment

Responsibilities

Maintain credentialing, competency, and expirable files for all providers
Onboard new providers and ensure checklist items are complete
Enroll providers and clinic locations with state Medicaid agencies and other payors
Coordinate new office openings and update payer/internal rosters
Own, track, and manage credentialing/enrollment with Medicare, Medicaid, and other payors
Develop relationships with third-party payors credentialing counterparts
