Job summary

Workit Health in Missoula, MT is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to manage credentialing and renewal data for providers within our Revenue Cycle Department. The role collaborates with billing staff and a Credentialing Manager to resolve denials and ensure timely credentialing.

The position requires 2–3 years in billing/credentialing, HIPAA knowledge, and familiarity with CAQH and payer portals. Hybrid work; in-office and remote days apply across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Billing and Credentialing experience.
• Deep knowledge of HIPAA standards of operations.
• Familiarity with major payer portals and CAQH management.
• Ability to communicate clearly via email, Slack, and in person.
• Proven collaboration and data organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow credentialing and licensure policies.
• Keep credentialing reports up to date.
• Ensure clinic information is accurate in payor directories.
• Process applications and verify details promptly.
• Maintain provider data in credentialing databases.
• Monitor staff credentials and licenses.
• Collaborate with Credentialing Manager and billing staff to resolve denials.
• Complete payer revalidations.
• Maintain a positive and proactive attitude.
• Handle other tasks as assigned.
